School Rule

GENERAL RULES

Parents must realize that school is a second home for children. They need all the consideration in their favour by way of safety and security, love and co-curricular work. It is from this point of view that we expect parents and guardians to follow the norms, given below extremely meticulously.
  1. Parents may send sweets, toffees to celebrate their ward birthday. It will be a good gesture to contribute one book to the school library or a sapling.
  2. Parents are requested to read the contents of the school Almanac/Parent Handbook carefully and in the interest of the ward abide by the rules & regulations laid down by the school.
  3. Parents are requested to send the perforated sheet (Student's Personal Record) duly filled and signed to the class teacher (given in Almanac).
  4. Kindly ensure that all the details in the Almanac are completed.
  5. Parents should have the Authority Card when they come to pick their ward from school or send anybody else to pick up the child with the Authority Card only.
  6. Any urgent message may be communicated at the school reception telephonically, Phone calls from parents for any teacher or student during the school hours will not be entertained.
  7. Parents are requested to submit their mobile phones at the security desk. On the day of Parent Teacher Connect Program as No mobile phones will be allowed inside the school campus.
  8. Parents are requested to sign the reports, test papers, teacher's remarks in the notebooks/school Almanac so that they are abreast with the progress of their ward. They are also requested to visit the teachers whenever called or on PTCPs and orientation programmes.
  9. Please do not send your ward to school if he/she is feeling unwell. A proper application or medical leave must be submitted in writing by the parents in given format.
  10. Apart from the training given by the school, students are expected to devote some time regularly at home. Supervision of the same should be arranged by the parents.
  11. Parents should carry out their responsibilities as joint educators in instilling in their children respect and strict adherence all school rules.
  12. The safety and security of our students is the prime concern and responsibility of the school and the school will take all steps to ensure the same. However, there are certain unforeseen incidents which are beyond the reasonable control of the school when students take part in any indoor and outdoor activities including all Sports, Riding, Trekking, Excursions, Camping, Cycling etc. or any other activity that is usually conducted by the school as a part of learning and if some untoward incident occurs for that the onus will not rest with the school alone. The school or any teacher, or any staff will not be held responsible for any loss or damage or injury of whatsoever nature caused to the student inside/outside the school due to his/her own actor expression, negligence or any dispute between the students, intentionally or unintentionally creating any circumstances which would lead to causing hurt/injury/damage to such student by any object or human being. The school authorities, staff, teachers will be free from any and all liabilities, claims(legal or casual), suit, demands, judgements, costs, interest and expense arising from such situations, including any accident or injury to the student and the costs of medical expenses.
  13. Parents are expected to go through the school calendar carefully and make a note of important dates and events, especially Parent-Teacher Connect Programs, tests and examinations. We expect the parents to come in large numbers and meet the concerned teachers to discuss not only the academic progress but also other areas of personality development like attitude, aptitude, confidence building etc.
  14. Parents must register a permanent mobile phone number/landline number with the school on which SMS and other alerts may be sent. In case of change of mobile number/email id/house address and pick up point, the parents MUST notify the changes in writing within 3 days on prescribed format given in Almanac.
  15. No student will be allowed to leave the school early on the plea of attending private coaching classes.
  16. Parents may please see that their ward adheres to the school uniform strictly. Children accompanying their parents during PTM days must also come in school uniform.
  17. Wearing of fancy shoes, jewellery, unruly hair and fancy haircuts like mushroom cut etc., streaking/highlighting of hair by fashion hair colours is not permitted. Skirt hemlines are to be knee-length.
  18. Parents/Guardians/Caretakers are not permitted to enter class rooms to meet their children or to seek unscheduled interviews with teachers during school hours. Prior appointment for meeting the staff must necessarily be taken. 19. In case of emergency, parents/guardians must meet the Principal/Headmistress and adopt a course of action in consultation with them.
  19. No stranger is allowed to meet children in school premises.
  20. No stranger, driver or family friend is allowed to pick the children up.
  21. Once the child has come to the school, parents and guardians are not permitted to take him/her back home during the school hours unless there is a major emergency. In such cases, the permission of the Principal/Headmistress is mandatory.
  22. Once the child has come to school, Parents/guardians/are not permitted to meet the child in the school premises during school hours except for medical emergencies.
  23. . Lunch boxes and water bottles are not allowed to be sent for students once they have entered the school premises.
  24. Any communication that parents wish to make with the school must be addressed to the Principal/Headmistress of the respective wing only and not to the class teachers.
  25. We expect parents and guardians to be cordial and polite with the staff of the school even in the most taxing situations. Parents are also requested to maintain a proper dress code at all times while entering the school premises.
  26. School can use the photographs/videos of the child for school promotions on various social media.
  27. Schoolfee must be paid in two instalments by the due date without the late fee.
  28. School fee can only be deposited in bank through Net banking, Cheque/OD, Debit or Credit Card, NEFT or any other electronic media.
  29. If the fee or the part of the fee remains unpaid after one month of the due date, the name of the student will be struck off from school records.
  30. Any fee (such as registration fee, admission fee,tuition fee etc.) once paid is non-refundable.
  31. The School Management reserves the right to modify or increase the fee amount or other charges annually. Any change or increase in the fee structure shall become due and payable with prospective effect.
  32. Fee structure is available on the school website and may be increased for the subsequent years, the fees may be increased vis-à-vis prevalent in the immediate preceding year.
  33. Afee will be charged for issuing any extract from the School records.
  34. One month's notice must be given in advance for withdrawal of the child and/or for the issue of Transfer Certificate (TC). If parent/guardian fails to do so, one month fee will be charged.
  35. Incase TC has been issued and student wants to rejoin the school, admission will depend on management's decision. 37. Students are not allowed to bring the following items to school: money, expensive jewellery, personal camera, CD, pen drive, storage card, toys, slam books, photo album, books which are not prescribed by the school, tobacco, drugs, alcohol, crackers, chewing gum, scissors, knife, sharp material or any kind of material which can harm the students, staff members and school property.
  36. Any damage to school property caused by a student will be recovered from his/her parents.
  37. Late fee submission will be fined Rs.20/- per day.
  38. Appropriate school fee will be increased every year. In addition fee may also be increased if any facility is added in school.
  39. School has the right to change prescribed books and/or uniform as required..
  40. That in consideration of the student being admitted to The Sanskaar School, Talwandi Sabo, by the Principal for the purpose of aforesaid education at the request of the guarantor. He, the guarantor, covenants with the Principal that the student will attend The Sanskaar School, Talwandi Sabo, regularly and will observe and comply with all the rules and regulations there of the prescribed period and that he, the guarantor shall pay to the Principal regularly and promptly and whenever called upon to do so all the fees and other costs as prescribed.
  41. That the placing of students in different Classes and Houses will be at the sole discretion of the Principal.
  42. That the Principal can, at any time, in the interest of the school, have the student removed if in the Principal's sole discretionthe student has failed to accept the discipline of the school and his continued presence is detrimental to the interest of the other students and/or the student fails to come up to the academic standard of his class and when detention in the same class would make the student too old for his class,
  43. No half day leave is permitted.
  44. Parents are advised to send leave application using the format given by the school.
  45. On Performance Review/Unit Test/Assessment Day, leave will be granted only incase of extreme emergency/sickness. In such cases, parents may collect their wards immediately after the Performance Review/Unit Test/Assessment Day.
  46. No student is allowed to drive two/four wheeler unless she/he is having a valid driving license issued by a competent authority.
